Q: Since you are a fans of Roger Allam, is there any of his songs you can recommend? (asks someone who's curious after listening to his singing in Cabin Pressure :p)

ALL OF THEM!
His singing in Cabin Pressure is really just the tip of the iceberg. In effect, he’s making himself appear to be a worse singer than he is, and he still sounds wonderful.
From the Les Miserables original London recording soundtrack I’d recommend ‘Stars’ first, as it’s a really powerful solo performance (and also on YouTube), and then ‘Confrontation’, ‘One Day More’ and ‘Javert’s Suicide’.
From City of Angels (again, the London recording) I’d suggest first going to ‘You’re Nothing Without Me’ and ‘With Every Breath I Take’- they’re both wonderful. ‘The Tennis Song’ is also quite amusing.

Allam and the cast of La Cage Aux Folles (2009) with bonus pictures from Ian McKellen’s after party.
Summary: Allam played the flamboyant, hilarious and yet intensely moving role of Albin alongside Philip Quast’s Georges (both men have played Javert in Les Miserables). A full and detailed summary can be found here - I would write one up myself but it’s a painful reminder of the fact I was an idiot and didn’t go and see the show when I had the chance *sobs*

Bishop Colm was just begging to be gif’d.
Reblogging this gif as a present for Chess who just LOVES the bishop in Les Mis /sarcasm (essentially, her relationship with the bishop is very similar to mine with Martin/Henry- I expect her to break out in hives at any moment whenever he’s mentioned).
It still amuses me no end that Colm Wilkinson is playing him!
